What is Monaru.lk?
Monaru.lk is a secure online classified platform. We combine traditional buying and selling with an innovative "Earn while you refer" BDM system.

Is it free to post ads?
Yes and No. To maintain a high-quality marketplace:

  • Selected Categories are FREE: You get 1 Free Ad (30-day renewal) in categories like Electronics, Fashion, Services, and more.

  • Premium Categories are PAID: Categories such as Cars & Vehicles, Jobs, Property, and Study Abroad require a membership or a one-time fee to post.

How do I create an account?
Click on “Sign Up” and fill in your basic information. You’ll receive a verification email to activate your account.

Once registered, you automatically gain access to two dashboards:

  1. User Dashboard: To manage your ads and profile.

  2. BDM Portal: To track your referrals and earnings.

What are the available membership packages?
We offer flexible membership plans based on your needs. Each plan includes a fixed number of ad slots, duration, and access to premium features. Visit our Membership page to compare packages.

What is the BDM program?
Every registered user on Monaru.lk is automatically a Business Development Manager (BDM). You can earn commissions by inviting others to the platform using your unique referral link.

How can I become a BDM?
Visit the “Become a BDM” page on our site for details on how to change rank, your responsibilities, and the commission structure.

Where is my BDM link?
You can find your referral link and earnings tracking by clicking the "BDM Portal" button at the top of the website.

How much can I earn?
Earnings start at 15% (Starter BDM) for every paid package your referrals buy. As you hit sales targets, you can reach up to 35% (Platinum BDM) plus a matching bonus 10% from the team you build.

Can a BDM help me post ads or purchase a membership?
Yes! BDMs are trained to assist with onboarding, ad creation, and guiding you through the platform.

How do I post an ad?
Once you’re a member, click on “Post Ad,” select the appropriate category, fill in the details, upload images, and submit.

How long will my ad stay active?
The duration depends on your membership package. Typically, ads remain active for 90 days unless renewed or promoted.

Can I edit or delete my ad?
Yes, you can manage all your ads through your dashboard. You can edit, delete, or renew any ad at any time.

How can I sell my items faster?
We offer three powerful "Boost" options to increase visibility:

  • Featured Ad: Puts your ad in the top premium gallery.

  • Top Ad: Keeps your ad at the very top of its category.

  • Bump Up: Pushes your ad to the top of the regular list every 24 hours.

What is the "30-Day Renewal"?
Free ads stay active for 30 days.  If you post an ad with a free listing, it will remain on the site for 90 days. You can renew your ad to keep it live on the site.

How do I reset my password?
Go to the login page and click “Forgot Password.” Follow the instructions sent to your email.

How do I update my contact information?
Log in to your account, go to “Settings,” and edit your phone number or email.

Can I change my membership plan?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time by visiting the Membership section in your account dashboard.

How do I deactivate or delete my account?
Contact our support team via email to request account deactivation or permanent deletion.

What payment methods are accepted?
We support payments via credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and bank transfers.

Do you offer refunds?
All membership sales are final. Refunds are only issued in special cases based on a review by our support team.

Where can I find my invoice or receipt?
Receipts are automatically emailed after payment. You can also download them from your account dashboard.

How do I contact a seller?
Use the contact options (chat or call) listed on each ad. Communication should begin through Monaru.lk for your safety.

What should I check before buying?

  • Inspect the product in person

  • Test it if possible

  • Ask for proof of ownership

  • Meet in public places during daylight hours

Is it safe to send money online?
No. We strongly advise users never to send money in advance or share bank details. Always pay only after inspection.

What should I do if I encounter suspicious activity?
Use the “Report” button or contact our support team. We investigate and take immediate action.

How do I protect my personal information?
Avoid sharing sensitive details like your address, ID numbers, or bank details on chat.

What happens to reported users?
Reported users will be investigated. If they violate our terms, their accounts may be suspended or permanently banned.
